I have not yet sighted a monarch in our habitat this season. This is our farthest into the monarch season, without a monarch, caterpillar or egg sighting. We've been sighting and rearing monarchs for nearly thirty years. But this week I've been encouraged, hoping monarchs are on their way! Two beautiful fritillaries are dancing in our habitat and feeding at milkweed, on a hot dry summer day. Encouraging! Thank you for this site; I appreciate reading the sightings of others.
