Looked out kitchen window, movement caught my eye, and I had to wait until took flight again, to make sure it was indeed a monarch butterfly on the butterfly bush. It is the first that I have seen this year. I have not been able to spend time in the yard so seeing them through the window is a thrill. I do have milk weed in the front and side yards, and they are mostly done blooming. The bees have certainly enjoyed them.
