have a wildlife garden beside two acres of woods. Includes milkweed. noticed Monarchs about a week ago. Not as many as there used to be. I am 78. My yard is on an esker beside a lake; Rock lake. between MSN and MKE. Put up a pumpkin bird house about 3 yrs ago. This year it has tenants wrens. Mr and Mrs Cardinal are actually using my bird bath. They splash water all over. used to have an owl nesting in a tree' I suppose she died. The nestling would shriek as it learned to fly to a near by tree.
