I couldn't believe it, a female Monarch was on my purple coneflower. So I quickly grabbed my camera, went outside, slowly approached her and got 2 pictures. Her wings showed a little wear and tear on them. I was beginning to think the Monarch would never arrive. I forgot to check my records from last year.Last year they arrived on July 21st. So I guess this year they are on schedule.
