This female was dancing up and down, side to side about 2 feet from my head as I was watching hopeless for monarchs. I saw her out of the corner of my eye and turned to watch her little aerial dance. A treat. She landed on the wet grass for a bit, then flew into the butterfly garden and enjoyed the echinacea for quite a while. No male in sight.
