Monarch (OTHER Observations)
Sightings report image

Date: 07/27/2013

Number: 1

I don't have "butterfly plants" in my backyard, but found this guy trying to shake off ants. I managed to pick off all the ants but unfortunately the butterfly didn't survive. I'm not sure if it's normal to see monarchs in North Texas this time of year. Everything I found online seemed to verify it is, in deed, a monarch. Curious and keeping my eyes peeled to see if more show up.
