I was surprised to finally see my first Monarch of the season. She was flitting around my milkweed which is now infested with aphids. By now I have usually raised about 300 off my own milkweed but not this year. I have had no eggs to collect...sad year for Monarchs. My milkweed was very prolific this year along with all the nectaring flowers in my butterfly garden.
