The butterfly was feeding at butterfly bushes in my yard. I was thrilled because it's the only one so far this year. I also thought it was a bit smaller than usual so I checked again for the difference between it and Viceroy. It was definitely a Monarch. It was brightly colored and flew from plant to plant.
