Stopped by Cumberland Park to check Common Milkweed plants I'd checked weeks earlier (no sign of Monarch activity then). This time, a wonderful discovery - 12 Monarch eggs!! They were on 3 different plants- all of which were covered with orange aphids, as well as numerous lacewing larvae, ants, and spiders. I checked other CM plants (~ 6-7) nearby, but found no other eggs.
So excited and happy to finally find Monarch eggs - like finding gold! Took them home for rearing (without the aphids, etc.!)
