I have not seen ANY monarchs this year until today. There were two at my butterfly bush...one was a female and other I did not get close enough to tell. I checked my milkweed and my neighbor's and did not find any eggs. I suspect they are part of the migrating generation and I have missed out on raising any caterpillars this year, although I have released as late as midOct, so I suppose it's still possible (?). So sad I don't have any to share as school begins.
