Adult male found in the road by my husband, not flying too well. Sat on my fingers, exercising wings. Very brightly colored, perfectly intact wings and body. Probably a fairly newly emerged adult, however, I was unable to locate any milkweed in the near vicinity. I moved him to the field across the street as it is full of thousands of wildflowers and placed him on what looked to me like a fairly well protected stem and he climbed right up. Wished him good luck!
