These 3 are the first Monarchs I have seen all year! I live in Nashville, but went 30 miles to our farm to collect cats. This is the first year in more than 20 yrs that I did NOT have cats on the first day of school!!! I looked over the acreage for 3 hours and found only 1 fat cat and 1 just hatched cat and 3 eggs. The 3 adults were nectaring on the plentiful milkweed, but not laying eggs that I could tell. I have plenty of milkweed at home and at school, but have had absolutely no butterflies around, even though it is lush and green! Where are the Monarchs???
