Approximately 3 weeks ago birds began to increase around our feeders and as of this morning we have 50-75 birds, males and females, mostly females. We have been putting out approximately 3-4 quarts of sugar water per day however we are now putting out from 8-9 quarts daily. We fill them up around 6:30 a.m. and refill around 3:30 p.m. It was hotter today and they only drained 4 quart feeders. I notice when it is hotter they don't drink as much and that doesn't make sense to me. We really enjoy the birds and hate to see them leaving soon.
