I have not observed one Monarch east of the Blue Ridge Mountains all summer. It was one year ago I saw my first Monarch in migration. We had an abundance of other butterflies this summer, mainly swallowtails, queens and fritillaries . No Monarch eggs of caterpillars on my milkweed plants!!! I am very concerned about the future of the Monarch butterfly!
