Two female Monarchs were nectaring in the garden this morning, favoring the zinnias and buckwheat flowers. One was large, had some scale-wear, but no wing tears; overall looked good. The second was small, looked new, and I believe it was the female I released yesterday in the same garden - same size and dark coloring. Searched random Common Milkweed plants, but no eggs found so far. Will keep checking.
