Monarch (OTHER Observations)
Sightings report image

Date: 08/21/2013

Number: 1

The second graders from Mrs. Walker's and Mrs. Kirkwood's classes observed insect life in the Milkweed Patch. We observed between 1:15 and 2:45 and the temperature was 99 degrees. We found 22 eggs and one larva. Since there were 3 Queen butterflies and 2 Queen larva, we're not sure whether the eggs are Monarch or Queen. We took the eggs into the classroom so we can feed them when they hatch and find out who's who.
