We have about 6 Ruby-throats, including 2 adult males, females, and juvenile birds. One little juvenile male with a single red feather in the center at the bottom of the gorget area that sits on a little bare branch of a cedar tree that is close to a living room window where we have a feeder hanging. He is unusual in that his tail is very short--the ends of his wings are longer than his tail. He has claimed this as his feeder. It is SO cute!
