It's a battle .. Hummingbirds vs Downy Woodpeckers!

Daily duels .. hummers whiz past the woodpeckers trying to unseat them from the feeders... and at times the wasps chase both types of birds away ... so it's a sight to watch!

Some of the hummers are ferociously protective of THEIR FEEDER!

One sits on the electrical wire GUARDING it for long periods. I love'm......!
