All this week there have been some very large fresh looking monarchs in my backyard. They have been nectaring on the blue mist, Brazilian verbina, milkweed and lantana. Two or more of them have been flying around each other in a spiral "dance"; but, as of yet I have not witnessed any mating or eggs. I don't know if these monarchs are over winterers or migraters. There are also several other butterflies out there.
