We had a huge frenzy 2 weeks ago with over 20 hummers at our feeders that lasted for 3-4 days. Most of the males that have been here all summer have gone. We still have lots of females and babies.

I maintain 12 feeders all summer (filling some 2x a day) and went through 15 pounds of sugar on my busiest weeks.

What a miracle that such a small thing can fly all those miles alone.

Have a safe trip ... see you all back here next April-May.
