Have seen very few monarchs this year. Have seen more swallowtails than monarchs. Usually see many more monarchs. The monarchs I have seen seem to be frenetic,,if not agitated. It's hard to describe, but the monarchs that have shown up fly rapidly around. Usually they fly around leisurely around the butterfly bushes. Different behavior this year.
