I observed, on several occasions, single adult monarchs flying through Isla Vista city streets, two circling a buddleia in Ventura, two circling a milkweed plant now here my porch. This milkweed plant had 3 eggs attached to underside of leaves. Three caterpillars hatched out. One was killed by something. One is now in chrysalis state and one is still feeding as of today Aug. 25th.
