Finally 2 monarchs in our yard flittering amongst our flowers most on August 21, nectaring intently on tithonia and buddleia. What a lovely sight. The female didn’t seem interested at all in the milkweed, just the tithonia. Both looked fairly fresh. August 21st, a very late date indeed for a first sighting!! There is male on the tithonia this morning (August 25), don’t know if it is the same one of different. A meager sighting, but oh so very nice to see.
