I've had male Monarchs for the last 6 weeks, but this is the first female. Unfortunately she is just nectaring and doesn't show any interest in laying eggs even though some of her nectar plants are right next to the tropical milkweed. I'm wondering if this is the first part of the migration of if she just hasn't mated?

I've had zero eggs laid this year - disappointing. I'm hoping the migration makes it through St. Louis and that numbers are bouncing back with all the rain we've had.
