Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/22/2013

Number: 1

I was in the parking lot of Dover Agway, where there was some Buddleia blooming. The Monarch seemed to come from the north to northeast quadrant (in my peripheral vision only at first). I believe it was a female. I couldn't see a pheremone patch. She nectared rather nervously for about 10 minutes, then moved a little toward the southwest, but seemed befuddled by a fence and some trees and shrubs. I lost track of her in the vegetation. She was very large and very fresh. She's the only Monarch I have seen this year.
