Monarch Larva Sighted

Date: 08/27/2013

Number: 1

Found two 1st instar Monarch larvae in the garden while gathering milkweed to feed the brood. One on a young Common Milkweed plant; one on Texas Milkweed. Brought them in to join their fellow Monarchs (eggs, larvae, and pupae).... and two Giant Swallowtail cats :). The shelves in the mud room are getting crowded - how wonderful!
