I have been raising Monarchs, Black Swallowtails and Viceroys this summer. Today was the biggest day, I had 4 female monarchs, 12 males monarchs, 1 male black swallowtail and 1 female black swallowtail born and released. When releasing them, one poor female monarch didn't even get a chance to fly far before she was snatched up by a male. He grabbed her, took her to the ground and then they were off together as one pair.
