I have a feeder at the back of the house I can view while doing dishes and one at the front of the house I can see out our picture window. This male Ruby-throated was at the back feeder and takes a sip and flies over to the clematis vines next to the feeder and is just sitting on the vines. He sat there 4 minutes and then went back to the feeder and back to the vines to sit and rest again. He did this twice and then flew off. Total of 11 minutes.
