Almost two weeks here in Parry Sound and we have seen one adult and recovered two larvae. This, despite the presence of lush green small shoots of common milkweed along some side roads and beside buildings in a local mall. Two fields where we often tag Monarchs have many goldenrod, asters and Joe Pye weed in bloom, but no monarchs and very few butterflies of any kind. We have seen a few Pearly Crescents and Cabbage Whites. There seems to be an inordinate number of Milkweed Leaf Beetles this year (.
