We have 4 different types of milkweed plants on our school grounds, Linton Springs Elementary. We founds on Common Milkweed: 1-1st instar, 6-2nd instars, 3-3rd instars, 4 chrysalis, 1 chrysalis that failed to form; Swamp Milkweed: 1-2nd instar, 1 chrysalis and 1 damaged chrysalis; Butterfly Weed: 2-2nd instars, 1 chrysalis; Tropical Milkweed: 5-1st instars, 5-2nd instars, 1-3rd instar. To-date we have tagged 4 adults with Monarch Watch tags and sampled 5 adults for the OE parasite.
