Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 08/29/2013

Number: 1

I graduated from ISU in Industrial Administration; yet, I spent at least three years in pre-veterinarian medicine and have a strong background in science. Feel free to verify.
I experience the migration of the monarch every year. We have bushes in our backyard that they stop before moving.
What I would like to present is that I have never seen a monarch this large at this time. It was alone and it even attacked birds. I feel that this was the "point-man". It was larger than I have ever witnessed and it flew aggressively at birds (finches specifically). Please give me input.
