Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/24/2013

Number: 2

I was sitting outside in the morning when I heard a whirring and I turned to see a juvenile or female (ruby-throated?) hummingbird about a foot and a half from my face. I think it liked the bright colors on my chair. It happened again within about 5 minutes and this one was definitely a male with the red throat. It then perched up in a tree for a few minutes before flying away. Most exciting breakfast I've had in a while!
