Hi,
My resident is a juvenile(one year old) female still with us . She has done well to establish an organized feeding pattern, evidenced by her frequent visits to the feeder every day but does not appear to have a mate. She is still quite small. .Also the unseasonably cooler weather in the past two weeks or more has caused a sharp decline in the insect populations. This may also affect nectar producing plants since many are tropical. I am not sure she can load up enough nutrition for the trek south. Are there others observing the same pattern?
