For the period of August 18 to 31, I have observed only one monarch on migration. I tag monarchs and this one got away! I have a monarch event at Harrisville State Park at 5 PM Saturday. I will have to catch other species of butterfly for the presentation so the children can learn more about butterflies. This is the first time in 4 years that I have had no monarch butterflies, caterpillars, and chrysalis for the event.
