Wheatley is near point peele Ontario, where they roost before they cross Lake Erie . Many are starting to roost here this week. Woke up in the morning and found 10 or more on a butterfly bush out side beside our deck
Editor's Note: We are defining a roost as a group of monarchs where at least 12 butterflies are clustering for the night. Therefore, the number of monarchs observed at this site is too small to be considered a roost. (The number 12 is arbitrary but we use it consistently each year for data collection.)
