Tallied the Monarch activity in my mud room this evening :) Very fortunate to have found so many during this challenging year; will be giving eggs to a fellow Monarch enthusiast who continues to inspire me with her enthusiasm and dedication to the Monarch and other butterflies. Tonight's Monarch count "in-house" is 111:
15 eggs
15 pupae
4 larvae hanging in a J
77 larvae in various instars
+ 2 large Giant Swallowtail caterpillars chomping on Rue
They've been keeping me busy!! This will probably be the peak number of Monarch visitors for me this year, and is the most I've had in the years I've been rearing them. Searching various NE Indy/Hancock County locations in addition to my home garden has resulted in the high number.
