Yay! We finally saw our first Monarch of the year in our yard, nectaring on the many cone flowers, sedum, cosmos, sunflowers, asters, etc. that we plant to attract the birds and butterflies. Sadly our common milkweed failed to bloom this year, apparently due to a fungus-like infestation. Only the single butterfly milkweed bloomed.
