I have one adult male Ruby-throated and one smaller Ruby-throated with only a small patch on his/her gorget. The adult male figured out that he can perch on the feeder and eat which he did for several hours, flying off after each feeding. He now just sits and eats and looks around. He leaves the feeder only to chase the small interloper off the other feeder which is about 20 feet away. He will eat at that feeder and then go back to his favored feeder. Both birds look healthy.
