I have a feeder so I have several birds that visit regularly, one male and two female ruby-throated. Females come more often and chase each other off if they arrive at the same time; I have not seen the male chase any off because he is generally alone. They usually start showing up around 9 am. One fem is very curious and flies around chirping & looking at me before landing, the other goes straight to feed and stays perched feeding for a long time, ignoring me unless I move.
