Had at least 30 adult monarchs nectaring in the native prairie pasture here late this afternoon. This is the highest number sighted by us this year. Also saw a pair mating so it appears they're still laying eggs! Walked the grove and yard later to check for a roost, only saw single individuals perching on the conifers in the yard and dead branches in the grove...no groups, only single individuals.
