While out biking this morning we saw 3 monarchs nectaring and netted and tagged one. It was a very fresh (this morning?) male. Sunny/overcast, with temp about 22 celcius.
We recently saw a LOT (2 dozen) of Giant Swallowtails while visiting friends at a cottage in Eastern Ontario. (Smiths Falls area, Rideau Waterway).
