I was surprised to see such a beautiful and full grown colorful Monarch. I always have my eyes peeled for them. It is roosting int he shade of the office building over hang where i work. I'm assuming it will fly out in a little while once the 100 degree plus weather cools off. Flower mound is really a part of northwest Dallas near DFW Airport.
