I live in South Reading and work in Woodstock, Vermont. I have ruby throated hummingsbirds at my home and at my workplace (it is a private estate and I hand the feeders here every year). I have observed and photographed two or more families of hummingbirds since they arrived last May, 2013. The last week of August, I observed at both places, the families filling up at all the feeders just like they did in the early spring after the babies were born. Most of them have gone and I observed one immature female at my feeders at both places, and also taking nectar from the many flowers we have at both places. I have left my feeders up here in South Reading. How long should I keep the feeders up?
