Driving out my rural road that passes thru pastures of farm land for beef cattle & horses... I saw an eagle on what I thought was a log in the field, I turned & went back to see & it was sitting on a deer carcass... it then took if & flew for the tree line! Thrilling to experience! It was within a mile or so of the Rappahannock River...sadly have not seen one since..
