Saw a pretty monarch making at nectar stop at some Japanese anemone in the giant panda yard at National Zoo. I always scan the butterfly bushes in this yard when they are in bloom, never quite knowing what I'll find. Luckily there was an abundance of other nectar sources nearby so it was still easy to find the monarch. Was a good reminder to not ignore non-butterfly bush flowers!
