Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/05/2013

Number: 3

We had at least five birds this year. We found one dead a few weeks ago after she hit the window. I think one may have migrated. Two females are still here very occupied with the butterfly bushes and rose of sharon bushes. They are ignoring the feeder after a tremendous feeding frenzy in August. Their feeding frenzy seemed earlier in the season than it usually does. I saw an adolescent male yesterday. I think he was just passing through. Not sure if "little rufus" our regular male has left yet. I believe he was at the feeder briefly yesterday.
God speed little friends.
