At 9:15 am today I was standing on my patio about to enter the garden when a hummingbird hovered near the arbor holding my coral honeysuckle. It was either a juvenile or adult female, it hovered and hesitated when it saw me long enough for me to see that much. I backed away so it could feel safe enough to nectar, but by then a second hummingbird flew in to nectar at the same blossom and both flew away. Less than a minute later one came back & nectared at the far side of the arbor [saw the blur & heard the wings] then flew off.
