This was the first Monarch of the year here at Monarch Waystation #6743. He was not particularly large. He was fairly fresh, but did not have an expanded belly. He favored the heirloom red zinnias, but also nectared on other zinnias and Mexican Sunflower. He was skittish, as we have observed them being when they are fresh.
