I accidentally flushed out a Monarch this morning from a juniper. After returning from work I observed a female nectaring like crazy. Watched and photographed her for over three hours and she was still feeding as shadows fell on the gardens. All signs indicate a healthy female building up lipid reserves for the long journey south. I hope she's out there in the morning and ready to move on.
