we have ten 8 oz feeders off the eaves and six 4 oz feeders in bushes. we are going through about 50 oz a day. My father started feeding about 15 years ago and we have kept the practice going since his death. we never have really shared our experiences but technology is wonderful. Two weeks ago we noticed increase in male ruby throat. at that point we put out all of the feeders and we have enjoyed many, many birds.
